Tech Specs
The Batt School for International Leadership logo is a vector design created in Adobe Illustrator. The wallpaper was composed using Adobe Photoshop in a number of different screen sizes at 72 pixels/inch resolution.
About the Project
The Batt Schools are located in Palm Beach County and consist of a number of different academic programs such as Juno Beach Preparatory School and the Batt School for International Leadership (BSIL). The BSIL is a private school founded in 1994 as Batt Private School. As they expanded, they took on more and more international students until finally creating a program with international leadership as the guiding principle. They needed, then, new branding to reflect this focus and embody the cheerful, learned community of the Batt school.
The school teaches grades K-12 with the majority of their students ranging in the elementary to middle school ranges. I chose a bright, primary color scheme to connect with the school theme. Design elements of the logo as well as the overall shape reflect both the name and purpose of the new school (see the explanation image above for more information).
The 1C version of the logo was embroidered on new uniforms that, unlike the muted browns of the previous polo shirts, came in a rainbow of vibrant colors. Additionally it was used on hoodies, tote bags, umbrellas, folders, stationary, forms, and other school related materials and merchandise. The wallpaper served as the background in the school’s computer labs and the color version appeared on the yearbook cover.
